The Second Coming of Heavy, Chapter One

The Second Coming of Heavy, Chapter One cover art, by Ghosttown Graphic Art

Nearly a year in the making, Ripple Music has finally unleashed the first chapter in the ongoing, limited-edition split 12″ series, The Second Coming of Heavy.  Featuring gorgeous art by Ghosttown Graphic Art, The Second Coming series will feature the best underground, up-and-coming heavy bands on the planet, with Chapter One featuring us and our good buds, stoner blues rockers Geezer.

We’ve got three brand new tracks for you, including “Fight the Prophets,” “Superego,” and “Shark Tank” – 22 minutes of new heavy head-nodding grooves. The Second Coming of Heavy, Chapter One is now available in three editions strictly limited to 100 copies each: Virgin Black, OBI, and Resurrection. Don’t sleep on it, especially if you are into the “fancy” editions. Resurrection and OBI editions won’t last long. Get ’em while you can!

Sludgy Erna Bastard – New split 7″ with Eggnogg

It’s been nearly a year since we’ve dropped a new release, and we’re excited to kick of 2015 with a killer new split 7″. Last year we met Gary from Palaver Records when we played in Nashville, and we talked about working together on a new series of split 7″s. As it turns out, we’re part of the very first release under the Sludgy Erna Bastard series, along with Brooklyn, NY’s undefinable Eggnogg. The limited edition of 300 copies will be available on March 19, pressed to black vinyl, with original artwork by Eggnogg’s own Justin Karol.

King's Disease

Cover of the Borracho side of the latest split 7″ with Eggnogg

Our contribution to the split is the song “King’s Disease.” The bones of this track were laid down back in 2009 during the band’s earliest recording session. Resurrected with a new mix by Frank Marchand and all new lyrics and vocals by guitarist/vocalist Steve Fisher recorded during the “Oculus” recording session, King’s Disease reaches back into history with a sordid tale of hubris that just as easily applies to today’s military industrial complex.

Both tracks are now streaming on The Obelisk, and you can preorder from Palaver Records or from our Bandcamp site. Hope you dig it. And, for those of you in the eastern US, catch us live this winter/spring. More shows to be announced!
